Miley Cyrus (Grammy's 2010) Overview

Having never considered myself of a big Miley Cyrus fan when it came to her make up and fashion, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself loving her look at this years Grammys. Her simple golden eye with heavy lashes and liner makes her blue eyes pop as she has used warm tones to bring them to the top of their potential. Throughout the internet people have been slating Miley for her nude lip and how it washes her out. As a large nude lip fan, I think its perfect with the eye make up and it compliments her skin tone perfectly, if she was to go any darker, I feel she would pale herself out. As for her hair, even if I know its not all her real hair, I find myself jealous at the length and the colour.

For some reason people thought that Miley had chosen a "risky" outfit just for the fact that it was slashed. However, personally I love the look she has brought together. Its not too girly, but its not totally rocker that it doesn't fit in with the elegant dress code. With the simple accessories of black heels and a sparkly clutch, the outfit is brought together and if it was my choice, she would be one of the best dressed this year at the prestige music awards.

asos haul!

Since my father seems to shrink everything I own in the wash, I spent some of my money this week on clothes and accessories, a package came yesterday but I wasn't in but I got one today from asos! Here's the goodies.

If you have watched my "What's In My Bag" video, you'll know that I have a bag very similar to this one. I just love the across the body bags right now with the Chanel look to them. I don't own a single red item, but I fell in love with this the second I saw it thinking that it would be a great additional to my handbags.

Nautical for me is the style of the season and I feel that light blue jeans fit more so than my usual darker ones. Being small in height and skinny, I find it almost impossible to find jeans to fit me on the high street having to buy size 6 and the smallest leg length so when I found they had these in stock, I grabbed the chance to finally have a pair of well fitting jeans.

I really have no idea what attracted me to this shirt, I think it may of been the fact it was different and had braces installed. I'm not entirely sure about this top but if I accessorize it correctly, I think it may work.

Once again the nautical theme appears in the same post. I think if I was to match these with the jeans and the red bag, it would be a perfect look for meeting with friends. I'm really big on stripes right now and I love the neckline and the length of the sleeves.

I'm loving oversize jumpers right now and this with the anchor detailing fits my style perfectly for this season. Pulling it out of the box, I noticed it was kinda long on me, but with jeans and plims, I think it would make a cute outfit.

Instyle Golden Globes After Party. (Ashley & Vanessa)

Last night I stayed up till the ungodly hour of 3am watching the Golden Globes and I didn't even see the end. In all honesty, I was really only interested in the after parties when celebs wear more toned down things and just have fun. Two of my favourite celebs for makeup and style are Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens and when pictures surfaced of them from last night, I had mixed feelings.

For the prestige after party, Ashley chose a simple silk blouse and black frilled skirt, using her accessories to pull in the outfit. Her amazingly long legs show that even at a small height you can still look amazing but with the outfit, I wasn't totally won over. She adds flare to her rather bland outfit by pairing Cheetah Print heels and layered necklaces, all with the same colours of the outfit.

Ashley added more glamour to her look with a simple brown and pink smokey eye with large lashes to make her brown eyes pop. From what I can see, she used a bronzer simply on her cheek and kept her foundation light for the event, adding a nude lip with light gloss to pull eyes to her dramatic eye makeup.

Vanessa keeps the theme of glitz and glamour in her outfit by wearing silver through out. With beaded detail and a nipped in waist belt, Vanessa's outfit compliments her figure but drowns out her naturally tanned skin, causing her too look paler than she actually is. I also feel that Vanessa has worn this look before just in different colours so I wasn't wow'ed. With her body and her face, she could pull of much daring looks.

With Vanessa's bone structure, her long and wavy hair almost hid her eyes and the striking features she has. Even if her hair near her eyes was pushed back or it was pulled up like Ashley's, I feel she could of looked even prettier. Vanessa's eye make is always flawless at events and I love the pop of purple on her lids, giving her look some colour, however with the pale colours she has used through out her outfit, her lips and cheeks may be a tad dark, making her look a little uneven. With a small amount of a highlight or mineralize skin finish on her cheeks with added bronzer, Vanessa could of glowed.

Because I'm the biggest idiot ever.

Ive made a new blog! You're probably wondering 'why did she? she didnt post on the other one?'. The reason behind that, I forgot my password. Stupid right?

Anyway, I changed my nails today, I had black nail polish before and quite frankly, I was sick of it. So manicure time!

I apologize in advance for the quality of these pictures, I am using my Iphone and lets be honest the picture quality sucks.

I know I'm boring, going from black to white but my nails needed some light colouring to get over the black, so I went for a simple clear base and over coat and Barry M Nail Paint in Matt White.

The quality is worse than I thought 0.o

Camera is needed.
